Delivery

We currently deliver within the Calgary city limits and are happy to drop your order off at either your home or place of work.

It’s easy. Log into your account at madefoods.com and shop our menu. Once you are done adding items to your cart you will be prompted to enter your delivery address, select your delivery date and complete your order online by entering a valid credit card number. Whatever you do though, don’t forget to enter any gate codes/access instructions/suite numbers/ floor numbers in your address so we don’t get locked out. This applies to businesses too. We’d hate to leave you hangry!

We currently deliver Mondays-Thursday from 330pm-730pm. We deliver to our stores 5 days a week so you can ensure you are always getting the freshest food.

We suggest that you try to be home so that meals don’t sit out too long however we are happy to leave your order on your doorstep if you know you’ll be home soon and able to refrigerate shortly after drop off.

Our delivery costs range depending on your location. It is calculated by the distance between our Calgary head office (where all our meals get made!) and your delivery address. The good news is that if your total order is $80.00 before tax you will receive free shipping regardless of your location.

There is no minimum spend for delivery but you can enjoy free shipping if your total order comes to at least $80.00 before tax.

The choice of getting your food delivered is entirely up to you. If you prefer to pick up at one of our four stores for no charge, you can definitely do that!

Online Ordering

It’s easy. Just log into your account at madefoods.com and shop our menu. If you don’t have an account with us yet, be sure to create one before ordering. Once you are done adding items to your cart you can choose to either pick up your order in-store or get it delivered to you. Enter a valid credit card to complete your order place and voila, you are done. You will receive an email confirmation with your order details shortly after it is placed.

Because our meals are made fresh in house daily, we require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for any new orders.

We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to cancel any online orders. You will receive a refund back to your original form of payment for your canceled order.

Once your online order is confirmed you cannot make any changes to it. You will have to cancel your order (provided within the 48 hour window)and then input in a new order (provided within the 48 hour window). You will receive a refund back to your original form of payment for your cancelled order.

It is easy peasy! Just place the promo code in the “discount box”  you will see in step 2 (information) of the purchase flow and click “Apply” to apply it to your order.

Gift Cards

Just place the gift card code you received by email in the “discount box” displayed in step 2 (information) of the purchase flow and click “Apply” to apply it to your order.

We currently offer two gift card options, an e-card that you can use to purchase meals online at madefoods.com (or gift to a friend/family member) and a physical in-store gift card that is only redeemable at any one of our 4 retail stores. Click here to shop gift cards.

Subscriptions

Sign up for one of our subscription plans to receive your choice of 4, 9 or 12 meals delivered each week. All meals will be dropped off as one delivery.

We deliver the meals in our subscription plans like our regular meals,  Monday-Thursday between 330-730pm.

Yes, your delivery day of week will default to the same day of week as your first order. To change your delivery day of week login to your subscription account on our website.

At this time, our subscription plans are only available for home delivery.

It depends on which subscription plan you sign up for! Our 4 meals a week plans charge a delivery fee (calculated based on location) whereas our 9 and 12 meals a week plans include free delivery.

You can change your subscription plan type. Please do so within 48 hours of your next scheduled subscription delivery date by visiting your subscription account profile on our website.

You will be notified each week to modify your subscription before your shipping cutoff which is 48 hours from your next delivery date. You can always update it at your own convenience by logging into your subscription profile on our website. 

You may pause your subscription for up to two weeks. If you need to pause it for a longer duration please email info@madefoods.com

You can cancel your subscription, please just give us a one week notice. To cancel your subscription, simply login to your subscription account profile on our website.

Unfortunately, at this time you cannot combine the two as one order due to app integration/ system is set up. You will have to place subscription orders and your regular Made orders separately. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Should your delivery be scheduled for a long weekend a member of our team will contact you directly to reschedule that week’s delivery. If you do not hear from us and the long weekend is quickly approaching email info@madefoods.com and we will be happy to look into for you.

General Questions

We are a local supplied, sourced and derived company whose focus is on creating delicious, wholesome, convenient and fresh individually packaged ready to eat meals. In our stores, you can also find some frozen take home foods, locally sourced snacks, our own supplement line, and on and on. We welcome you to stay and eat with us in-store or order your meals with us online to fill your fridge for some hassle free/guilt free dining! We also offer catering and nutritional programs. We’re trying to make buying our food convenient as possible for you! We’ve listed in a nutshell below but please see our locations page for a complete list of where to find us

Sure thing. Unlike a lot of other ready to eat meal companies, we do not require you to sign on for a subscription or membership. We know you’ll be back again because our food is pretty tasty ☺

Your card will be charged immediately following your transaction. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express.

We want you to be happy as much as we want our food to fuel you to be your best. If you aren’t completely satisfied with your meal, we encourage you to email us at info@madefoods.com so that we can make it right.

Calgary, Alberta

Our food has a shelf life of 4-6 days depending on the item. We’re all about natural, wholesome ingredients so our food has no preservatives or additives to preserve them past that date. Be sure to look for the best before sticker on your meal’s package.

We don’t recommend freezing them because this takes away from the freshness of our meals, however if you get them home and realize you won’t be able to eat them before the best before date then by all means! And of course, use your judgment as there are some items that can’t be frozen such as our salads and bowls.

Just follow the reheating instructions on the container. Sadly, all microwaves and ovens are not created equally so we suggest checking for your desired heat levels before sitting down to eat. Please remove lids and cups inside the meal package prior to heating.

You can! We would recommend placing them in an oven safe dish with tin foil over top and warming that way. Be sure to take out any small side cups when doing this.

Good question! We use lemons as a natural preservative. They help to keep our food fresh and protect it. You can heat it if you’re a lemon fan, and if not please disregard when ready to eat.

Menu & Nutrition Questions

We use organic when possible and local as much as possible. We work very closely with local farmers to ensure all our meals are made with freshest ingredients possible.

Our menu is seasonal. At the change of every season you will see new dishes appear and some disappear. We do have a few staples that we’re able to source year-round in our climate that we keep. If you have a favorite you’d hate to see leave – let us know!

All our meals are made using fresh, seasonal ingredients with no added preservatives or GMOs.

GA = Gluten Aware

V = Vegetarian

VG = Vegan

DA = Dairy Aware

Our facilities are not completely free from Gluten, Dairy, Nuts, etc. Although we go to extreme lengths to not cross contaminate we cannot claim them to be completely free of these common allergens.

Due to the volume of custom meal orders we are anticipating, they are only available for delivery at this time. We may revisit this in the future if there is a demand.

You betcha. However your order will only be valid for delivery and not in-store pickup.  

Packaging Questions

You bet it is. Most of our entrees, sides and all of our salad and bowl containers are 100% compostable whereas the majority of our other menu items (snacks, sandwiches etc) are recyclable. Read more about our commitment to zero waste here. Be sure to read your meal’s label to see how to properly dispose of your container and any leftover food. We ask that you take off the sticker label first, as well as any dressing or side cups, and then compost/ recycle the entire container.
